Mods with only one Kingdom

I know the whole point of MnB is the chaos and politics of different kingdoms, BUT i was wondering if there are any mods with only one major kingdom or just 2 for a rebellion type playthrough. Can’t beat Sturgian infantry

It’s 500 (me) v 379 (Sturgian army) and for the life of me I can’t break through their shield and axe infantry defenses. I pick off their Calvary and when we get ahead in numbers I get their infantry leaning one way then charge cav in on their weak side - end up losing ALL my Calvary in seconds. What am I doing wrong?
