Heian Period Japan build?

I’m trying to build a Japanese time relevant army. I know that Japan wasn’t super powerful during the Heian period. They predominately used horse archers and skirmishes and sneak attacks. The horse archer heavy armies are basically useless in the game against any opponent with shields. I’ve been using kuzhait noble archer builds but it’s not enough. How do I kill Derthbert or whatever, King of Valandia?

I'm his vassal and I want him to die so I can be king. I go into battle with him, turn him into a pin cushion, and he only ever gets knocked out. I reload the game to my last save, try again and the same result. Am I doing something wrong? Has this technique been taken out of the game?

Dickplomacy Reloaded!

Hello everyone! :D I just made a mod, it's called Dickplomacy Reloaded. Basically it adds the functionality that you would find in normal mods, such as Dynamic Troop Trees, Custom Troop Trees, Freelancer, Tournament Play Enhancements, Single Screen Character Creation, and Rubiks World Map into Dickplomacy. ^-^ It also doesn't require WSE, but you still need the older (exe) version of Warband that comes with Dickplomacy. (Though I haven't tested it with the newest version of Warband so it might work.) Also, if you do decide to download it, please ignore (DO NOT USE) the "content options" folder, it is legacy, and the mod is compiled from source with all features.
