Any way to assign only certain troop types to a formation?

Hi new player here, question in the title. Let's say I only want my Swordsmen in Formation 1, is there a way to do this with any granularity? I know there's the small icons which allow you to set "preferred types", but is there any way to do it with a bit of precision? Or a mod which allows this? Thanks in advance. Can I recover after losing everything?

I had 4 cities and 7 castles ans still have 1M dinars I now only have the money, my follower clans are mostly imprisoned and can't keep their numbers up. Permanent war with all of the empire. Their armies got bigger and bigger I have 1 mil and at least a half mil in loot I carry around. I retook my first town but I couldn't hold it. Am I done
