i can't sue for peace while actively dying

im in 2 front war, all my vassals are captured, i have one castle left after vlandia cane with the 2000 men army and took my city , and i cant make peace even i i want to pay tribute. Do you guys reload when you get captured?

I kind of treat getting captured as a game over. I find it pretty tedious to go around and collect all my followers again and trying to get that one of a kind weapon or armor back is super punishing. What do you guys do?
