[PoP] One of my companions left, is it possible to get him back?

So I’ve been playing PoP and recently Ansen said that the adventure life isn’t for him and left my party. I tried to persuade him but it didn’t work. Is it possible to get him back or is he gone for good? I’ll need a new medic if he’s gone.
