Mods with only one Kingdom

I know the whole point of MnB is the chaos and politics of different kingdoms, BUT i was wondering if there are any mods with only one major kingdom or just 2 for a rebellion type playthrough. Should I start with Mount and Blade 1 or 2?

I have never played Mount and Blade but I have been really interested to try it out. However should I start with the original or the "sequel" warbands?

From the reviews on Steam people seem to like warbands better, but would it be better to start out with the "original" first?

And what about Mount & Blade: With Fire & Sword?

Also, is there any must-must have mods? (I prefer to play at least close to vanilla first time through, but pure graphics enhancement etc is always nice if it is an older game, and I have a good system)

Not sure if it matters or not, but I am an "experienced" gamer.

Back when Bannerlord was announced, I vaguely remember that, in the announcement thread, people were discussing the choice of the title "Bannerlord." Does anyone else remember that?
