Declared war on allied mercenaries on load save?

I’m playing as southern Empire, have the Hidden Hand as mercenaries with a couple of their parties in my army. I started a big battle late at night, so half way through quit to go to bed, knowing I’d saved right before the battle anyway like a good little save scummer. Now when I reload any of the precious 3 autosaves I immediately declare war on the Hidden Hand and their parties abandon my Army. [1.5.5] Kingdom decisions not resolving after I join as a vassal

Basically what happens is I hear the kingdom decision sound effect and the notification icon pops up on the right of the screen for a split second, but it disappears before I can click on it. This keeps happening every 15 seconds or so.

I know the same thing was happening with mercs, but this was quickly patched.

Does anyone know of a fix for this?
