Declared war on allied mercenaries on load save?

I’m playing as southern Empire, have the Hidden Hand as mercenaries with a couple of their parties in my army. I started a big battle late at night, so half way through quit to go to bed, knowing I’d saved right before the battle anyway like a good little save scummer. Now when I reload any of the precious 3 autosaves I immediately declare war on the Hidden Hand and their parties abandon my Army. Bring the co-op campaign at release

Just hire the dudes doing mods for co-op campaign or work together with them if necessary and bring the most requested multiplayer feature, the online (could be also just 2 player co-op better than nothing) campaign. It can't be that hard, it will bring huge amount of new players that will buy the game just to play with their friends. There's already corona, we can't meet with our friends easily, do this and I will personally gift 5 copies to my friends. If modders can do it you can do it too, if you can't, then just hire them since apparently they can do it and working remotely is the thing nowadays.
