Mods with only one Kingdom

I know the whole point of MnB is the chaos and politics of different kingdoms, BUT i was wondering if there are any mods with only one major kingdom or just 2 for a rebellion type playthrough. Difficulty With RBM Armor

I've been using tournaments as a means to get better armor and even with a 46 armor headpiece I'm always being one-shotted from a single face-hit. I had a test save where I bought the strongest helmet I could afford and even with a goggled full-head helmet, with no visible openings, I'm still being one shot. Mind you, this is earlier in the game, but it's incredibly frustrating that enemies have highly functional armor with crappy skullcaps and my full helmets are always made of paper.

How can I remedy this? What do I need to invest in stats wise or armor wise?
