Mods with only one Kingdom

I know the whole point of MnB is the chaos and politics of different kingdoms, BUT i was wondering if there are any mods with only one major kingdom or just 2 for a rebellion type playthrough. Empire rejuvenates too quickly

I'm in the endgame and can't seem to gain ground against the empire. I'm playing Sturgia and I'm currently the king.

However, every time I take a city or castle they either take one of mine or come in with a giant army. Even with cheese tactics, such as waiting for them to attack then infiltrating the castle to lock them into a 1-sided duel, they come back just as strong a day later.

What can I do to limit this or make my lords recruit better?
