Monchug was feeling generous today.

I'm playing with some mods that heavily restrict recruitment, so my army is almost entirely bandits and mercenaries. On land, Monchug's army would destroy mine, but this isn't a land battle and he gifted me several amazing prizes. Armour and bows

Is there any malus for wearing heavy armour and using a bow? It seems like the thing that shouldn't work well because it's not historic or realistic so I just want to check if there's some hidden issue to doing so, or if it's fine to go around in plate mail while head shooting people with a bow.
