I'm playing with some mods that heavily restrict recruitment, so my army is almost entirely bandits and mercenaries. On land, Monchug's army would destroy mine, but this isn't a land battle and he gifted me several amazing prizes. At first I figured it would have been the Sturgians because they seemed like a very infantry focused faction like how the the Battanians are a archer focused faction and I can say the easily have the best archers. The more I look into the game the more differentiating answers I see on which infantry culture is best.
