How are we "losing"?

There are no imperial settlements in the game at all, and yet somehow we are technically losing the war against the "northern empire." I have captured their leader a number of times, and he instantly escapes afterward and the score decreases. Help? Here you can see that they are somehow not losing Somehow they are \"raiding\" without actually doing anything on the map (unless they are not in the area of the northern empire?) From Fabio to Organic Butter - The Upgrade Bug is Still There

Just fort your situational awareness - you can still transfer troops and exploit free XP distribution to make that entire troop set upgradable instantly. There's a few videos on this exploit/fast mode technique but here you go https://youtu.be/8oh6Z-2Cp-U

This also works for recruiting prisoners. As long as 1 prisoner is recruitable, you can apply the same technique.
