Bannerlord's greatest features are your imagination and your own fantasy - How to enjoy Bannerlord again

Why I Still Love Bannerlord Despite Its Flaws Hello everyone I've been thinking about this for a while, and I wanted to share it with anyone who enjoys Bannerlord, or wants to enjoy it more. If you're already having fun throughout the entire game, that's great. This post probably isn't aimed at you. But if you've ever felt that Bannerlord has incredible potential yet somehow loses its magic after the early game, maybe this perspective will help. I completely understand the criticism the game receives. Bannerlord could have been so much more. The quests become repetitive, diplomacy lacks depth, and many of its mechanics never evolve as much as they could. The early game is exciting, the mid game starts to slow down and the late game often turns into a grind. I agree with all of that. And yet... I still enjoy every stage of the game. The reason is simple; I don't rely on the game to tell my story. I create one myself. To me, Bannerlord feels less like a tra...

Does the Nord faction exist as a punching bag kingdom?

I ask this cause everytime I played Bannerlord the usual happened: Khuzait Khanate, and Vlandia dominate in their ends in the maps. The middle empires fight and bicker weakening themselves for the two mentioned factions to steam roll on. Sturgia kinda becomes a tug of war between Vlandia and Khuzait between who gets their territory. Then the Aserai get made an example of. I wont even mention Battania cause we know their fate, its pretty much Braveheart levels of hopelessness. They will get assimilated by Vlandia

Now after Warsails, my character is just starting out and within about 8 months into the game, the island the Nords have is already taken by Vlandia with no sign of it being taken back or the attempt to do so, and the Nords are caught between a battle of Sturgia and Khuzait that looks more like a 2 v 1 school yard bully beat down with no hope for the Nords to gain an inch. They're losing as much as they gain.

Nords dont even use their boats in my game, its just ground army battles. If someone comes across the pond to attack them, there's nothing in terms of an intercepting Navy that even tries to stop them. Its gotten so ridiculous that despite playing as a Nord, Ive gone back to my roots of an all Calvary/Archer Calvary mercenary unit rolling with Vlandia because trying to work with the Nords just lead starting units getting overwhelmed, and having mass casualties without being able to upgrade them to the next tiers.

Don't get me wrong, I love the Nord looks, armor, culture and the like, but as a new faction, they've been implemented badly, and their kingdom placement is awful being in a sorta "Backed into a corner" by three of the strongest contenders, two of them being the kingdoms I mentioned earlier which dominated their side of the maps in the previous play throughs of the game, and STILL DO here in this new build.

I don't know, what do you guys think can be done to make the new faction better? Or are the Nords here meant to be roleplayed as the newly landed clan to Calradia thats meant to fail and fight hopelessly in the name of Odin until they're assimilated by the usual suspects? Discuss!

Optimal weapons in Smithing (Forging): a second, deeper (?), look - Blades/Heads + Guards/Banners and Accessories. Bit of a letdown

Hello everyone. It’s been one month since part 1 was released (This one https://www.reddit.com/r/Bannerlord/comments/12yqhq5/optimal_weapons_in_smithing_forging_a_first_look/ ).I’m here posting again to go forwards in the established direction from part 1.There will be a TL;DR section at the end. A little recap is in order: last time we crafted every single possible weapon in Bannerlord, but ignoring guards, pommels, grips, accessories (From now on, "Parts 2/3/4")... and only switched between different blades/heads ("Parts 1"), which I expected to determine the overall worth of the item much more than the other parts (This proved to be the case, according to today's data).Furthermore, there were no changes in size at all, so all components were crafted only in standard size. Again, I've updated the Google drive folder I've been using up until now. It contains a series of screenshots detailing the weapon's name (Which in turn is a combination of the...
