Why did they get rid of helmets for the empire?

Lower tier empire troops used to have Byzantine style helmets that looked great. Now they all just get padded coifs? Why? It looks awful. Their troops used to look cool, now they look like peasants roleplaying as assassins creed. Is it because the Nords don’t have much head protection so for “balance” instead of giving all low tier troops helmets they just got rid of them? Historically the FIRST piece of armor someone would get is a helmet… since the Bronze Age, even if all you have is a shirt, shield, and spear, the first piece of armor you’d get is a helmet. What's a good balanced army for some fun battles?

I just came fresh from two playthroughs, one where I went fians only and I took Battania in an afternoon. - my win condition.

And one where I went Khans only and...yeah, the Empire was weeping three hours into my campaign.

So what's an actual real army that needs more than f1 + f4? Kinda want to play a bit smart for once and be able to say that I won against the odds without cheesing the AI lol.

Dickplomacy Reloaded!

Hello everyone! :D I just made a mod, it's called Dickplomacy Reloaded. Basically it adds the functionality that you would find in normal mods, such as Dynamic Troop Trees, Custom Troop Trees, Freelancer, Tournament Play Enhancements, Single Screen Character Creation, and Rubiks World Map into Dickplomacy. ^-^ It also doesn't require WSE, but you still need the older (exe) version of Warband that comes with Dickplomacy. (Though I haven't tested it with the newest version of Warband so it might work.) Also, if you do decide to download it, please ignore (DO NOT USE) the "content options" folder, it is legacy, and the mod is compiled from source with all features.
