Declared war on allied mercenaries on load save?

I’m playing as southern Empire, have the Hidden Hand as mercenaries with a couple of their parties in my army. I started a big battle late at night, so half way through quit to go to bed, knowing I’d saved right before the battle anyway like a good little save scummer. Now when I reload any of the precious 3 autosaves I immediately declare war on the Hidden Hand and their parties abandon my Army. Worst King

Who's the worst starting King in your opinion to pledge allegiance? Ragnavad has been a literal detriment to my Sturgia campaign, he feels the need to constantly be in two wars at once; are we winning a war and making actual map progress? Oh better declare war the opposite side of the map too. And he doesnt even bother helping he just sits in Balgard 24/7.
