Declared war on allied mercenaries on load save?

I’m playing as southern Empire, have the Hidden Hand as mercenaries with a couple of their parties in my army. I started a big battle late at night, so half way through quit to go to bed, knowing I’d saved right before the battle anyway like a good little save scummer. Now when I reload any of the precious 3 autosaves I immediately declare war on the Hidden Hand and their parties abandon my Army. Power structure of the Calradian empire

What was the power structure of the Calradian empire at its peak?

You had the emperor at the top.

But who answered to the emperor ? In ASOAIF/GoT, you had the King and the lords paramount/Wardens of each of the 7 regions of westeros managed the Kingdom for him. And smaller lords answered to them.

What about the calradian empire ?
