Dumb saving system

why does the "save" button just simply overwrites the last save that you had, I was defending the city that I put in a lot of time and money, and after losing and wanting to try to defend from the siege for the second time by loading the last save, I accidentally clicked on save instead of load, and I just lost probably a couple if not a dozen of hours of gameplay because the save got overwritten.

Please, fix this
