What is fast mode?

Is there a mod that just lets you act as as a companion/follower for some other lord/character?

Maybe I just want to be the power behind someone else's fist, maybe I just want to just casually fuck people up without caring about responsibilities, and maybe I'm bored and just don't want to think about what I'm doing at all. All three scenarios come up sometimes, and I figure not being the leader of my own party makes that a possibility. Is there a mod for this?
