Perisno 0.9. Does anyone know what causes this?

I have been playing Perisno 0.9 and am on day 267. I was playing earlier today and saved and closed the game. I came back later on and now there are a few characters who are just a floating head and my character has a bald head. I tried closing Steam and rebooting it but is doing the same thing. Does anyone know what causes this?
