Is there a mod that changes the formation system to the one from Warband?

In Warband you would allocate troops to formations on your party screen. You could put individual troops in formation 1,2, 3 etc. In bannerlord it feels cumbersome having to do it in the battle deployment screen using the sliders. Is there a way to change this? submitted by /u/FingersToKeyboard [link] [comments]

Game crash when capturing prisoners

After winning a battle the game will cycle through all the enemy heroes and making me choose between capturing or releasing them. That's all well and good, but the game will frequently crash when there's a lot of them. Like, say, after a huge battle between armies, I click 'You're now my prisoner' for the 5th time and the game will just have a heart attack trying to load the 6th one. I've gotten into the habit of quicksaving before every battle specifically to minimize the setbacks this causes, but having to re-do fights is still extremely infuriating. Also, this happens regardless of whether I use mods or not. Has anyone else run across this issue and can tell me how to fix it? Or, barring that, know of a mod that just skips that pointless 'capture/release' dialogue and just auto-imprisons all those losers? submitted by /u/Oh_sup [link] [comments]

Military Retreats leaving me alone?

So I setup for a fight with a evenly matched group of Sea Raiders. I took the first 5 of them out before they reached my men and my men ran off leaving me alone. I tried calling them back and that was it, the fight was over before it started lol... What is going on? submitted by /u/Phoochie [link] [comments]

Physics system abuses

When you hit someone, it shows the relative speed of the projectile or weapon(/character). A long, long time ago, I got a GM in D&D to give me a X2 damage bonus for leaping off of heights and backstabbing dragons and such. Boar spear ridden like pogo stick == dead drake. Assuming the speed shown is not back-added as cosmetic flavor from the damage you did and it really is displaying (part of) the calculation for how much damage you do...by exceeding the speed normal attacks occur, you should be able to do more damage. It just needs more momentum. I've tried jumping off of things and hitting someone (really, really hard to hit you can't attack down in the air), shooting an arrow while jumping off of something (luck is better than skill) and the damage doesn't seem to improve much, but I think the gold standard would have to be a couched lance and a plummeting horse. I've never figured out how to even set that one up. Got damage? submitted by /u/Intergalact

Problem with wars in bannerlord

This is probably gonna be trash but im gonna do it anyways. Wars in warband were long, bloody conflicts where many battles were fought but the front rarely moved. The sieges were long affairs that took many days and weeks to prepare and execute This is accurate to the time period. Wars in bannerlord are the opposite. They seem more like blitzkrieg rather than medival warfare. Cities are constantly being taken over and fought back. Armies are being assembled in a matter of a day. Losing one battle can doom one side to lose. This makes the endgame unplayable because 2 or 3 factions take over the whole map by the time you can establish a kingdom. It also seems that the aserai, vlandians and kuzaits always make it to the endgame, while all other factions collapse. The wars in bannerlord need a big revamp otherwise the endgame will just be a big, pointless grind for those who create their own kingdom Submitted September 29, 2020 at 08:39PM by conone06 https://ift.tt/2G1MxHd

I just ended a war I couldn't win by giving my enemy a rusty axe and requesting 50k dinars?

Guessing this is some kind of bug? The only mod I have installed is BannerPaste, and I don't have cheats enabled. For some reason, this one rusty axe in my inventory would make them accept peace and allow me to request exactly 48k dinars - no more than that or they would decline. I just summed it up to some monty python sketch where they pretended it was some holy axe lol Submitted September 29, 2020 at 09:11PM by Trini_Gamer10 https://ift.tt/2ScTQOK

I know it's 2020 but I have a Warband question. Yes I'm playing Warband because I can't run Bannerlord and Warband offers a lot more to me through mods/etc.

I AM PLAYING THE FLORIS EXPANDED MOD PACK. Native troop rosters and tournaments, only like it for the diplomacy. It has more depth than the Diplomacy mod itself. -- I wanted to create a trading empire in the heart of Calradia. A city that would thrive and be a kingdom in it's own right, Dhirim. It has a lot of potential during peace times as many already know, and I love the idea of just owning my kingdom and the surrounding two castles (to make my borders look pretty). -- V TO THE POINT -> How do I prevent vassals from defecting to me? Suddenly one day Tihr and Wercheg became apart of my kingdom. It kind of just ruined my playthrough as multiple lords kept defecting to me (and the brilliance of my character Sven) .. Is it not possible? To not want to conquer all of Calradia? Submitted September 28, 2020 at 10:51PM by mersile_ https://ift.tt/3cEeWih

My Kids Are Higher Lvl Than Me

New to the sub so idk if this has been addressed already. As the title suggests my wife is at lvl 25 and I'm now lvl 23. It seems to be the case that your offspring grow up to have a copy of yours and your wife's characteristics depending on sex, including level. This is problematic because I can't level up any of my kids' skills effectively because they're not gaining focus points from lvling (cuz they're so high level already) & they don't have any attribute points (cuz they were just kids, now 18yrs). Children should just start at level 1 when they reach adulthood. submitted by /u/PettyPolite [link] [comments]

Tips for expanding my Kingdom

Having reached Tier 4 and being at the point in the main quest line where I was asked to make a decision, I decided to make my own Kingdom with blackjack and hookers. Got myself a party of ~200 men. Captured a Castle whilst the enemy wasn't looking. Made peace as soon as his reinforcements of 500 men arrived. Yay. Rinse and repeat 2 times more, except that now I have ~250 men and 2 parties with ~60 each for a grand total in my army of ~350 to 400 soldiers. Not too shabby, but considering the lords running around with 700 to 1200 not really a great force actually. I mean, i can beat 700 guys with my 250, considering most of my people are close to top tier, but it is costly. And I can hardly beat a properly defended castle AND a lord or even king in close succession. And what I definitely can not do is siege a town. Especially not the one next to my castles. Not with a garrison of 700 in it. However, i feel like I could really use a town, as castles only get you so far and money

Can't give a castle away?

I just started my own kingdom and currently own two cities. I convinced one other clan to join me, and they brought a city with them. I just took a castle, and it automatically made me its new owner. There was never any vote on its new owner, I just got the campaign map popup that says "The new owner of Akiser Castle is [Player Character]." I do not want this castle, as I can barely garrison the two cities I currently own. I would prefer to give it to the other clan, but again, there was never any vote. I also can't vote to reassign the fief, as fiefs cannot be revoked from the ruling clan, even by the ruling clan, for some reason. What could be causing this? I took the castle with just my party, if a member of the other clan took it, would there be a vote? Is this caused by a certain policy? I got a bunch of the policies that increase ruling clan power. Will modding tools allow us to easily make a new world map?

It'd be interesting to see a real-world map mod or Europe mod for this game once modding tools are added, and as an experienced mapper I would be happy to make the Europe map for such a mod. However I'm curious as to if this has been discussed to be a planned feature, or if making a world map will be harder than heightmaps or drawing it in a terrain editor? submitted by /u/Trini_Gamer10 [link] [comments]

Gone with The Bolts - Calradic Tales (Community Event + Warband Giveaway)

Introduction Nearly five years ago, this community began the persistent multiplayer event that would grow into the Calradic Campaign . Through the four years it ran, the CC served as the definitive Warband event for newcomers and veterans alike. Massive 200 player battles, custom battle and siege scenes, and a thriving community helped many endure the (then) seemingly endless wait for Bannerlord. But interest and excitement for the Calradic Campaign continued after Bannerlord's early access release. The event that had brought friends together for years was finished, and nothing really existed to scratch that itch. Without custom servers, a continuation of the campaign into Bannerlord seemed a long, long time away. Until now. The Calradic Tales is an attempt to bring back massive, (roughly) coordinated events to the Mount and Blade community. This is not continuing on where the CC left off, nor is it a persistent campaign, but instead using the years of player driven story to d

Smithing Bug; can't unlock certain parts?

Hey, just wondering if this is a known bug. Really wanted to unlock pointed or star falchion blades to have a nice chopper w/o the useless thrust attack-- but no matter what I do I can't unlock it. I've tried everything, including cheating to smelt down 100s of falchions and high level 2hers, axes, etc., neither of those blades ever unlocks... I've been at max smithing for eons now... Anybody know an easy way out, or something I'm missing? I just came back from April after having the game uninstalled for a few months and tbh, I'm completely dumb struck that they haven't completely reworked the garbage smithing system. To make matters worse, it seems like they removed the console command to unlock all parts... lol wtf TW submitted by /u/HamstersInMyAss [link] [comments]

Question about persuasion checks

So right now I am extremely annoyed at the persuasion checks. Extremely. So basically I've been tryna yknow recruit some lords for my kingdom, however i keep getting critical fails. (Most of these people have 0 relation). On one extreme case (I save and reload the save when i fail), I got a critical fail on the first one SEVEN TIMES IN A ROW. To put that in perspective, that is close to a ONE IN TWO MILLION chance, assuming I did my math right. There have been many other times where I get 2-3 times in a row, or just constant ineffectives with some fails mixed in. I get that the persuasion checks shouldnt be easy, but this is just completely defying odds. The odds displayed are usually a 43% crit success and a 13% crit fail, yet im getting the crit fail majority of the time. Basically, are the statistics just wrong, or is this some kind of bug, or am I just really unlucky lmao. One other thing to note is that after I got 7 in a row wrong, I just ended up waiting and following the

[Gekokujo] faction relation/mechanics question.

Are you supposed to NOT take Lords prisoners in Gekokujo? Every time I take a Lord prisoner at least 2 other clans declare war on me, even if they're completely neutral to both me and the other clan with no treaties or related family members, and with high relation with their great lords, and no fief in my territory claimed by them. Anyway to stop my archer prioritizing enemy Cav? I could just be playing badly but I don't know what to change.

If just a few enemy cavalry slip through my Cav my archers will only target them, almost never actually hit them making them completely useless. The enemy force charges without any resistance until they clash with my infantry. I feel like I'm missing something, I tried telling them to face direction but they still turn around and try and hit the apparently matrix horsemen that have gotten behind my line. I've tried cutting of the enemy cavalry and horse archers with mine before the have a chance to distract my bowmen but it seems a few always charge by prompting all 80 f@!king archer to shoot at them and completely miss. Are my archer not upgraded enough? They are like 70% tier 3 and 30% tier 4. Someone tell I'm bad and if I just did "this thing" I wouldn't have any issues cause it's starting to get me mad. I'm also kinda drunk which prompted this angry rant/question thing. submitted by /u/TheNeighbourist [link] [comments]

what do I do after making some money in tournaments?

So every bit of advice to do with Warband suggests using tournaments as a way to make a nice amount of money to sustain yourself in the early game as well as to gear yourself up. I've done that, I have a company of 60 something rhodoks of various levels of training, some manhunters and a few heroes and.... I'm completely stumped. I don't have enough that I feel comfortable starting shit with other lords, which is a point I know you get to eventually but I don't know how to get there or what my plan should be. I'm just... stumped, completely and utterly stumped. So any advice is welcome. Thank you in advance. Submitted September 26, 2020 at 01:11AM by Dovahkiin419 https://ift.tt/2Hrp6XW

Can't get lords to join kingdom

When I pass a persuasion check with any lord to convince them to join my kingdom and get the chance to barter with them the "offer" option is greyed out. The bar that is usually green in the left corner of the offering box is red. No matter what I give them it doesn't change, I offered them 2 million denars, my entire inventory, and all 5 of my fiefs, the option was still greyed out. submitted by /u/Whatisinausernam [link] [comments]

Are these game bugs or something else? Inexperienced player with questions.

I'm playing through Bannerlord for the first time and it feels... rough. Being a latecomer to these games, I'm not the biggest fan but I really enjoy them and haven't been driven insane by the long wait for the sequel but I have very mixed feelings about it anyway. Right now I'm having a hard time finding specific nobles because they just aren't where the game says they are. For instance, one of the people I'm looking for is Monchug, so I talked to NPCs and looked at the encyclopedia which says he's in Chaikand. I went to Chaikand and checked the lord's hall in person but the city acts like he isn't there. I waited a few in game days and he hasn't moved at all so I gave up and looked for another noble in Odokh to talk about marriage with. She's nowhere to be found either. My younger brother is supposed to be there too but there's no sign of him. When my younger sister was a teenager I thought I couldn't wait to properly speak to he

I wrote an RP style steam review for Bannerlord, I thought you guys might appreciate it.

“But sister, please, I wish to join you in your travels!” “No, Alya, you must stay here in Qasira and take care of your brother. Lord Unqid is a rich but generous ruler. As long as I continue to serve him as a mercenary, the denars will continue to flow, and his men will continue to protect you. The walls of Qasira are thick and powerful, and his empire is vast; none of his enemies will ever harm either of you here.” “But sister, I am of age, and Fathid is nearly a man himself. I wish to join your ranks, I wish to fight!” “SILENCE!” I retorted. My blood boiled from the stress of battle and leadership. Alya stood there, unwavering. After taking a moment to calm, I explained, “should anything happen to either of you… I lost you once already. I’m not going to let that happen again.” -- That night, I dreamt. I dreamt of my first lifetime in this realm. I was foolish, inexperienced, and naive. Lord Derthert was a force to be reckoned with, so I naturally fell into his ranks… whether

Where is the lordly armor at

What I liked a lot about warband is you were better equipped, most of the time, than any elite units out there. Which makes sense your leading them. Where as in bannerlord I can have legionaries with 100k worth of equipment, but I cant afford a 10k armor. Just breaks the immersion imo They should make the troop armors more abundant but add some exclusive stuff. I'm currently on day 650 of my first Warband run. I fell in love with the game, but I still have a lot to learn. I guess I just wanted to share my first experience. Few days into new game, I realized that a good relationship with some lords could be useful in the future. I had the perfect chance: Count Delinard had been captured by the Khergits and was spending his forced vacation in Unuzdaq Castle. At the time, I didn't even know what "renown" meant, so I had no problems sneaking in. I had spent a few hours in the arena, so I managed to complete the prison break. I decided to stick with Count Delinard, and I improved my relationship with him. I joined the Swadian army, first as mercenary and then as vassal. I got used to Count Haringoth's bad temper, but I got on his good side after following him for a while during the campaigns he lead as marshal. The Line in the Sand - Star Wars Galactic Campaign

Despite an increasingly desperate defence, the Rebel Alliance was forced to flee the planet of Muunilist. The Galactic Empire, seeing its prey on the run, gave chase and engaged the Rebels in a space battle. However, the Rebels managed to defeat the Imperial boarders and escape. This has given the Alliance a surge of hope... and delivered the initiative right into their hands. Attempting to bypass Imperial defences at Muunilist and Endor, the Rebellion is launching an assault on Tatooine. For the Imperial Garrison stationed there, why the Rebels are attacking Tatooine is anyone's guess but they plan to give the Rebellion a warm welcome to this desert planet. Every Imperial there is concerned about the Hutts, and the thought of cooperation between the Rebellion and the Hutts is enough to make a Stormrooper sick to his stomach. Siege towers should be better

The whole point of siege towers is being able to put more men on the walls faster. However, it seems like the AI path finding still can’t figure out how to use all three ladders at the same time. Ideally, all three ladders should be full so that it’s not just a piddle of men coming through, but a flood. Also, the gate shouldn’t be lowered until more men are up there to charge through. Hopefully, this is fixed so towers are more useful Submitted September 22, 2020 at 09:53PM by LordFarquhar96 https://ift.tt/2ZX63Lp

Any way to put a companion/clan member in a town?

Basically the title. Accidentally took a family member into my party that was previously waiting in the keep of a settlement and I can't seem to be able to put them back. Can't seem to find an answer on this subreddit or google either, so maybe that feature just isn't there? Submitted September 22, 2020 at 09:57PM by koben0 https://ift.tt/3kG12PA

How do I get troops back from unowned garrison?

Is this even possible? If not, I will be a wee bit miffed. As I spent a lot of money on my troops. So. I created a second party with one of my companions as the leader. So I could recruit more basic troops and power level them. However. I decided to disband the second party. They of course went to Poros (which I don't own. Nor am I a vassel to the Southern empire.) I only got back 19 of my troops. How do I get the rest back without becoming a vassel yet? As they were sent to the garrison. I will become one for the Southern empire eventually. But want to raise some more funds first. Please help. Much appreciated. submitted by /u/GameChangingMadness [link] [comments]

Warband Persistent World High Population

Hey, if anyone else thinks Bannerlord's combat is terrible and wants to keep playing Warband like me the Persistent Kingdom mod is doing well on peak North American hours consistently getting 100+ people. For those who don't know what this is it's basically an open world multiplayer mod with resources and castles and crafting and clan wars and the like. Also getting into it as a new or returning player might be a little rough at first and maybe a little toxic lol so you should probably pair up with a clan to have frens to watch your back and not get all your iron ore stolen. The Templars are doing well now, pm me if you're interested otherwise the other clans are solid too minus Lannister lol https://persistent-kingdoms.com/ screenshot from last night https://preview.redd.it/tuo5reudmso51.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=3137676692ffb1d041b76fe1e4b4e1cffc158604 Submitted September 22, 2020 at 08:36PM by RPInjectionToTheVein https://ift.tt/32

Game keeps freezing...

So was doing a few caravan escort quests yesterday and the game kept freezing every few minutes, I could move the mouse pointer around no problems and alt+tab between game and desktop but still kept freezing. Anyone else experienced this? Bit annoyed lol as getting roughly 30k for each escort is a good return Submitted September 22, 2020 at 01:45AM by rosethorn87 https://ift.tt/33NH2nb

Whats wrong with ai tactics.

Ive noticed the main go to thing for AI is; some attempt to skirmish with archers, charge with cav and then when the enemy infantry is close ebough theyll charge with infantry. Horse archers seem to charge anytime the enemy turns their back and just die and god forbid you don't use default groups because it just screws up ai commanders. To me the cav should be regarded as highest priority to keep alive, and should be more of a reserve guard and opportunistic flanker than the initial chargers. submitted by /u/TheactualDK [link] [comments]

Is it just me or are almost all of the rogue companions black with frizzy red hair?

I’ve noticed in my game that most of the rogue companions are like this. Does anyone else have this issue? I just thought it was a really weird trait that maybe I’m exaggerating, but really seems to be that way. Sorry if it’s the wrong flair, wasn’t sure where it belonged submitted by /u/z98ables [link] [comments]

Why is there not a "wait until healed" button?

This game feels almost unplayable without something else to do while you wait to heal up. I casually go through the front page of reddit, take a shit, get a drink, and I am still at like 60% HP. Is there seriously not going to be a way to significantly speed it up until you are healed? submitted by /u/Multicurse [link] [comments]

Bartering Weirdness

Don't know if anyone noticed but in order to have your inventory actually be part of bartering you have to meet the subject of the barter outside of a castle or town. Is this supposed to happen? submitted by /u/AdmiralPenguin2 [link] [comments]

Bug on tournaments with no weapons

Anyone else experiencing a bug when you join a tournament and everyone has no weapons, just their fists, and then the game crashes? This occurs on all the cities and also started a new game just to test it out but it still occurs, is this a known bug? submitted by /u/WhiteskinTM [link] [comments]

I think battanian Sieges might be broken, anyone else have this problem?

I thought this was on my end, but now I'm not so sure. I noticed I was getting under 30 fps (very often 10 or less fps) and awful stutter, but ONLY when sieging battanian castles (I haven't seieged a battanian city, so i can't say anything about that). Changing graphics setting yields no changes, and I don't think snow has any effect because I don't have this issue with Sturgian castle seiges. Its all very strange. A list of things we all never asked for and never wanted.

Crush through with swords . I literally can't play with a 2h only anymore because I keep getting killed by overhead crush throughs. I don't play games where my death is based off of RNG. The class system (MP) . To this day, Taleworlds still thinks it's a good idea, instead of allowing players to choose between picking a class for quick action, or a customized loadout. Matchmaking . Literally killed the entire MP community by having this in at launch without the option to create servers. There is no reason why any game should ever release with less features than its previous installment. None. Block Delay . To be fair, this one is currently being addressed. Slowly, but surely. I would just love to know who the genius is that makes these decisions. Anyone else got anything? IMO, the design team is incompetent at communicating w/ the community. submitted by /u/Kylby36 [link] [comments]

That asshole Sanjar Khan and his bullshit lords

Ok we were at war with the rhodoks and I took like all there castles and cities until they only had a couple left. I purposely left one out because I thought it would funny if I let them live with only one castle to squabble over. But some dumbass Asugan, who probably fucks my wife when I’m gone, besieged said castle and when I told him to follow me away he said “I will only follow men who distinguish themselves” or some bullshit. Like fuck off mate I captured 30 castles while you were sitting in your castle jacking off. Kill yourself Asugan you think your hard I’ll join go independent just to beat the shit out of you then rejoin the Khergits.
