Thoughts on Bannerlord

Hello fellow Warband enthusiasts. This post is simply my thoughts on Bannerlord so far. May be useless for people several hours in and may be interesting for new comers. 1. The combat is absolutely phenomenal. The learning curve is still there despite me playing warband for years beforehand. Absolutely love it. 2. Graphics are amazing. Everything feels so medieval and adequately shiny/filthy in the right setting. 3. Characters and plot are a bit of a dip from warband. I enjoy the fact that there's a plot to follow that can sorta unfold differently for each player but, as we all know, it's still in the works and understandably needs some more time. The characters are not as memorable as warband heroes and leaders. I used to remember each and everyone in warband as having a distinct character trait that really showed in their behavior and just the way they looked frankly. 4. Currency. Messed up. Influence can be impossible to farm, money ridiculously easy to farm. Honor is nearly impossible to save after a faulty decision which i dont necessarily mind but the rest of the systems do need some buffs/nerfs. 5. Quests. Please devs, give me quests that allow me to actually be politically clever. In warband + mods we used to start wars between nations with border incidents and uncalled for attacks. We used to plot with lords against other lords. It just builds the world so well to be such an active member of its political plots. Sure the policies and fief management options are immersive but I would also love to see some political drama of my making. 6. The no handholding is awesome for any fan of the series. You learn everything pretty much yourself. And that is awesome. 7. F*ck seiges

Prophecy of Pendor - Early Game Guide

I love PoP and think it's the best thing since Sliced Person, but the early game is bloody brutal, especially if you're used to kicking ass and taking names in M&B vanilla. So I wanted to write an early game guide to share my experience and hopefully help someone else get into the mod without as much agony as I (and many others) experienced. Character Creation - Questions When you start character creation, the game hits you with a bunch of background story questions. My advice is to answer these however you like, building the backstory for your character that interests you and helps get you into the story. However , these questions have serious impacts on the game, most critically whether you can create Knights of the Griffon chapters with just money, and something called the Rumor Interval which sounds irrelevant but is the most important thing ever . For a deep read on the subject see the wiki https://pop3.fandom.com/wiki/Character_Creation Or for a quick "Just...

TaleWorlds Forums

Back when Bannerlord was announced, I vaguely remember that, in the announcement thread, people were discussing the choice of the title "Bannerlord." Does anyone else remember that? It was a useless topic to discuss, but I kept coming back because I was so hyped about the game and was hoping for more information about it.
