What should I do here?

I’m a vasal with the Khuzaits and I feel like the AI is not doing me any favors. We were at war with Sturgia and the Aserai at the same time which was a nightmare because everyone was running north and south. Not at war with Sturgia anymore but as soon as we made peace with them Monchug went and declared war with the western empire. I have 15 fiefs and they all border the western empire. So while every place I own is getting attacked Monchug and all the other assholes have been fighting over Shibal Zumr Castle. One side takes it and back and forth so most of the army is over there. And I’m in the same situation over at Onica castle. I own it but they take it and then I take it back. No one is getting anywhere. I want to go on the offensive and take Zeonica but I just don’t have enough people and I don’t think I can get anymore. Any tips for this stalemate? And where do all their troops keep coming from? They keep coming with 1100 troop armies and I keep destroying them, shouldn’t the...

[Viking Conquest] best way to deal with skirmishers?

So my general battle strategy in VC is to make a mixed shield wall of swords and spears. I try to hold a hill and provoke an attack up it or, if that's not possible, slowly march in tight formation to the enemy. I hold fire until in range then unleash a hail of javelins before the shield walls clash.

With this strategy I absolutely destroy Norse Saxon angle frisian and Briton armies.

But the Scots and especially the Irish are just savage. The irish armies will typically have as much as half of their army as skirmishers that will stretch out in a long line. And unlike the other armies who use arrows, they use javelins. When their shield walls hit mine gets absolutely devastated by javelins coming in from the sides. The Scots do the same thing with crossbows which isn't nearly as bad but still hurts.

What's the best strategy for stopping this? I've tried cavalry and it helps but they die so easily. Using my own skirmishers or archers they seem to lose out. The best strategy that I've found is to basically hide behind a hill and force them to come to the top so that they can be engaged in melee, but that's not always possible with the terrain.

Anybody have any good ideas?

Also note that this is on basically max difficulty, top combat AI, fast combat speed, full damage etc. Not "insane" damage though, just full.

Prophecy of Pendor - Early Game Guide

I love PoP and think it's the best thing since Sliced Person, but the early game is bloody brutal, especially if you're used to kicking ass and taking names in M&B vanilla. So I wanted to write an early game guide to share my experience and hopefully help someone else get into the mod without as much agony as I (and many others) experienced. Character Creation - Questions When you start character creation, the game hits you with a bunch of background story questions. My advice is to answer these however you like, building the backstory for your character that interests you and helps get you into the story. However , these questions have serious impacts on the game, most critically whether you can create Knights of the Griffon chapters with just money, and something called the Rumor Interval which sounds irrelevant but is the most important thing ever . For a deep read on the subject see the wiki https://pop3.fandom.com/wiki/Character_Creation Or for a quick "Just...

TaleWorlds Forums

Back when Bannerlord was announced, I vaguely remember that, in the announcement thread, people were discussing the choice of the title "Bannerlord." Does anyone else remember that? It was a useless topic to discuss, but I kept coming back because I was so hyped about the game and was hoping for more information about it.
