Declared war on allied mercenaries on load save?

I’m playing as southern Empire, have the Hidden Hand as mercenaries with a couple of their parties in my army. I started a big battle late at night, so half way through quit to go to bed, knowing I’d saved right before the battle anyway like a good little save scummer. Now when I reload any of the precious 3 autosaves I immediately declare war on the Hidden Hand and their parties abandon my Army. Sad that the tactics perk for preplanning battles got removed. I really hope they one day either through mods or the devs that there is real battle strategy required or is possible.

I just want to play like a real roman army would with a triple line. Having only one line is not as fun but it is still quite awesome to see!

I really hope we can get a CK diplomacy experience and a more rich battle strategy that also utilizes the world map and other possible forms of combat/attacking enemy kingdoms.
