Declared war on allied mercenaries on load save?

I’m playing as southern Empire, have the Hidden Hand as mercenaries with a couple of their parties in my army. I started a big battle late at night, so half way through quit to go to bed, knowing I’d saved right before the battle anyway like a good little save scummer. Now when I reload any of the precious 3 autosaves I immediately declare war on the Hidden Hand and their parties abandon my Army. What about the ability to be able to create your own troop classes?

For example the player could make a custom unit that is a crossbow-spearmen mix or a Archer-Cataphract mix and to balance this you would have to

  1. Found a Kingdom
  2. Retrain all of your troops

So what do you think?
