Any way to assign only certain troop types to a formation?

Hi new player here, question in the title. Let's say I only want my Swordsmen in Formation 1, is there a way to do this with any granularity? I know there's the small icons which allow you to set "preferred types", but is there any way to do it with a bit of precision? Or a mod which allows this? Thanks in advance. Any way to increase caravan party size?

So I’m around 2 years into the game (I think not really sure) and whenever I set up a caravan it gets taken down in less than 2 weeks, sometimes even less than a single week. Is there a way to increase the caravan sizes? Because seeing other nobles owning caravans with 50 troops that rarely get attacked seems kind of unfair compared to the shitty 30 man caravan
