Any way to assign only certain troop types to a formation?

Hi new player here, question in the title. Let's say I only want my Swordsmen in Formation 1, is there a way to do this with any granularity? I know there's the small icons which allow you to set "preferred types", but is there any way to do it with a bit of precision? Or a mod which allows this? Thanks in advance. Getting to play for the first time since I bought it on release of Early Access. Just fought in a siege.

HOLY SMOKES THAT WAS INCREDIBLE! Absolute chaos, units going where they needed to be, and the noise, the smoke, the fear of getting clobbered by some flying rocks!

Absolutely incredible!

Yes, there are bugs, the loading screens are rather long, but they are tolerable for the sheer thrill of the massive battles and sieges!
