Any way to assign only certain troop types to a formation?

Hi new player here, question in the title. Let's say I only want my Swordsmen in Formation 1, is there a way to do this with any granularity? I know there's the small icons which allow you to set "preferred types", but is there any way to do it with a bit of precision? Or a mod which allows this? Thanks in advance. New player

Hello Companions , as I said in the title I’m a new player , I mainly play Single player..

I would like to read what you guys mainly do in the early game..

When I create a new save I go straight for the Faction I want to became a vassal and then I do a ton of tournaments.. I know the game doesn’t hold my hand and allow me to do whatever I want .. but I’m just curious what the veterans of MB series do..

What do you guys always do in the early game to make easier the mid and late game?
