Any way to assign only certain troop types to a formation?

Hi new player here, question in the title. Let's say I only want my Swordsmen in Formation 1, is there a way to do this with any granularity? I know there's the small icons which allow you to set "preferred types", but is there any way to do it with a bit of precision? Or a mod which allows this? Thanks in advance. dragon banner quest failed

im a bit surprised that out of the blue, the main quest just fails after a while.

is there any way around this at the moment?i tried the no dragon banner timeout mod but that doesnt seem to work anymore.

does anyone have another solution or am i just fucked?
