Any way to assign only certain troop types to a formation?

Hi new player here, question in the title. Let's say I only want my Swordsmen in Formation 1, is there a way to do this with any granularity? I know there's the small icons which allow you to set "preferred types", but is there any way to do it with a bit of precision? Or a mod which allows this? Thanks in advance. Can't make lords join my kingdom

When I talk to enemy lords and get to the part where I pay them to join the kingdom it dosent work. I have 15.8 million gold so thats not the problem. No matter how much I offer the bar that fills up the more you offer is just shy of being full. Just wondering if maybe it's my mods doing this? I have Improved garrison, overhead shield wall, and one where you can have as many parties as you like. Forgot the name.
