How to improve auto resolve outcomes?

I auto-resolve 90% of the fights I get into, what can I do for better results? Should I find 1-2 companions with high tactics skill and keep them in my party? Will that help? Do I have to assign them into any role? There is no slot for tactics role, is it enough if I just keep them in my party? As for sieges, should I keep a companion with high engineering skill and assign him in the engineering slot? Bannerlord on Laptop??

Since the Xbox /console version of Bannerlord lord will take a lifetime to be released, I do have steam on my Acer laptop with windows 10. I know most of the people here are PC gamers, I can’t wait anymore,so do y’all think my laptop can support the game or do I have to continue playing Warband and watch Jeremus get knocked unconscious every 3 minutes?
