Any way to assign only certain troop types to a formation?

Hi new player here, question in the title. Let's say I only want my Swordsmen in Formation 1, is there a way to do this with any granularity? I know there's the small icons which allow you to set "preferred types", but is there any way to do it with a bit of precision? Or a mod which allows this? Thanks in advance. Killing the enemy emperor

So I’ve captured the emperor of the southern empire (not rhagaea she’s dead, because of course I wouldn’t kill the ideal gf) who were currently at war with, and I was just wondering what are the consequences if I kill him, will my allies hate me? Will anyone else hate me except the southern lords? What are the consequences?
