Any way to assign only certain troop types to a formation?

Hi new player here, question in the title. Let's say I only want my Swordsmen in Formation 1, is there a way to do this with any granularity? I know there's the small icons which allow you to set "preferred types", but is there any way to do it with a bit of precision? Or a mod which allows this? Thanks in advance. Tips on moving forward

I've been playing on a campaign for about 10 hours and I found myself stagnated I go around being a mercenary for different factions and I have 3 caravans that pull in decent denars but I want to start my kingdom but don't exactly know how to go about it.
