Any way to assign only certain troop types to a formation?

Hi new player here, question in the title. Let's say I only want my Swordsmen in Formation 1, is there a way to do this with any granularity? I know there's the small icons which allow you to set "preferred types", but is there any way to do it with a bit of precision? Or a mod which allows this? Thanks in advance. Why won't my troops obey my orders after the enemy starts to run away?

Why won't my troops obey my orders after the enemy starts to run away? every time now I finish a battle the game won't let me select any of my troop and make them all charge before the enemy get off the map.

it's really annoying, does anyone know how to fix it?
