Any way to assign only certain troop types to a formation?

Hi new player here, question in the title. Let's say I only want my Swordsmen in Formation 1, is there a way to do this with any granularity? I know there's the small icons which allow you to set "preferred types", but is there any way to do it with a bit of precision? Or a mod which allows this? Thanks in advance. Save games not loading

Hi,

running 1.5.9 lots of mods. Worked fine, then i added freelancer mod, started a new game, worked well.

But the next day suddenly my game stucks at loading. No crash, no error. Tried deactivating the freelancer mod, no good. Verified files through steam, nothing. Can start a new game though, only it will not load later.

Tl;dr can start a new game, but cannot load saves. No crash, no error. Just infinite loading.

Suggestions please?
