Any way to assign only certain troop types to a formation?

Hi new player here, question in the title. Let's say I only want my Swordsmen in Formation 1, is there a way to do this with any granularity? I know there's the small icons which allow you to set "preferred types", but is there any way to do it with a bit of precision? Or a mod which allows this? Thanks in advance. Renaming Companions?

Is there a mod that let's you rename companions (first and last), that works with 1.5.10? I have two Fiaslyn the Wanderer's in my party, and it's a little annoying.

Detailed Character Creation does, but doesn't seem to be currently compatible with the beta.
