Any way to assign only certain troop types to a formation?

Hi new player here, question in the title. Let's say I only want my Swordsmen in Formation 1, is there a way to do this with any granularity? I know there's the small icons which allow you to set "preferred types", but is there any way to do it with a bit of precision? Or a mod which allows this? Thanks in advance. where is the garrison wage slider?

ive seen people complain about it being broken or not stopping at the cap but i cant even find where it is.

i looked in clan tab at each settlement and nothing is there. when i enter the castle/ town and click manage there is only reserve, change governor and choice projects. i have no idea where else too look.
