I'm playing with some mods that heavily restrict recruitment, so my army is almost entirely bandits and mercenaries. On land, Monchug's army would destroy mine, but this isn't a land battle and he gifted me several amazing prizes. I've read that for convincing people to join your kingdom, their relative riches and fiefs will outweigh their opinion. I've also yet to see how having a high relation with a sovereign affects whether or not they declare war on you. Is it better to take prisoners and execute them, and conquer the country once there aren't any lords? Or would even ransoming them for money be more worth it than the relation boost for letting them go?
