Party speed

I just started a new vlandian sandbox run. Usually I'm battania. I feel my party speed is to slow and am chasing bandits all the time. I got a lot of pack horses and verb working in trading to raise funds also fighting as mercenary. What are all the steps for maximum party speed optimizing as vlandian? Dragon Banner Help Current Ruler of the Southern Empire

So the leader got killed in battle and somehow I won the vote to be leader of the Southern Empire as the title states. Though now I finally got all the banner piece and am at the part where you pick a side though since I am all ready the leader I just want to give it to myself declaring the southern Empire the rightful owners. Does anyone know hgw?
