I mean I play it mainly as Role play, so winning it is not my goal, but I definitely want to be successful. Usually, getting first city is pretty hard, because having less than 200 troops, building siege camp, fending off enemy lords roaming around my siege camp requires big heap of luck. Then expanding the kingdom without clans is hard, even with two or three it gets hard against fully established kingdoms. However, weekly I see many posts about finished game, great strategic win, destroying whole kingdoms singlehandedly.... I am by no means beginner, having 2K+ hours in Warband (partially napoleonic wars as regiment member, but still many hours in Floris, Pendor and so on), 700+ hours in Bannerlord. I use Diplomacy, RBM so it is harder, but still... submitted by /u/Top_Leopard_9528 [link] [comments]
I must say that lasted patches in beta gives a lot of advantages for the Nords, so many that sometimes I feel like bully for anyone who dares to sail the seas. There is why:
- Autoresolve on the sea gives huge advantage for Nords, so almost nobody possesses threats to me
- Claiming new ships in battle gives you big pile of money, making you rich super fast.
- With the right perk I can recruit Corsair on the water, these bands are larger and come with undamaged ships
- I travel faster than on land and I can sell most of the horses.
- On the sea I can keep higher numbers of troops than limits and they won’t escape. So I can recruit bigger armies and then stack them in garrisons faster than on land.
- When I call lords to my army, I can give them extra troops, so almost every army has full potential.
So yeah, I feel powerful without Fian champions, Khans Guards or cavalry.
