Mods with only one Kingdom

I know the whole point of MnB is the chaos and politics of different kingdoms, BUT i was wondering if there are any mods with only one major kingdom or just 2 for a rebellion type playthrough. How to not get vassals to hate you?

When I become king, and lords come to me to become vassals they always hate me. Usually I get every single lord who shows up in my court. Also I heard that good-natured and upstanding lords are good to have. Why? Why does my vassals hate me whenever I give out a fief?
