I must say that lasted patches in beta gives a lot of advantages for the Nords, so many that sometimes I feel like bully for anyone who dares to sail the seas. There is why: Autoresolve on the sea gives huge advantage for Nords, so almost nobody possesses threats to me Claiming new ships in battle gives you big pile of money, making you rich super fast. With the right perk I can recruit Corsair on the water, these bands are larger and come with undamaged ships I travel faster than on land and I can sell most of the horses. On the sea I can keep higher numbers of troops than limits and they won’t escape. So I can recruit bigger armies and then stack them in garrisons faster than on land. When I call lords to my army, I can give them extra troops, so almost every army has full potential. So yeah, I feel powerful without Fian champions, Khans Guards or cavalry. submitted by /u/Cahir24Kenneth [link] [comments]
So I started my playthrough by simply hiding my archers behind my infantry's shield wall, and telling my cavalry to charge when enemies lines came into my archer's range. But now that I take part in large battles, I struggle to understand what happens, and to keep track of enemies troops, and it gets even worse when fighting In forest, or even WORSE, villages. So I select everyone, and delegate command. It works, but the AI keep doing mistakes like putting archers in front, etc...I feel like I could win more easily if I could control this myself. How do you guys play ? And if you micro manage your troops at all time, any advice for a noob ? I play Vlandians, so I have crossbows, cavalry and footmens. Thanks !
