Any way to assign only certain troop types to a formation?

Hi new player here, question in the title. Let's say I only want my Swordsmen in Formation 1, is there a way to do this with any granularity? I know there's the small icons which allow you to set "preferred types", but is there any way to do it with a bit of precision? Or a mod which allows this? Thanks in advance. My New True Love

Been playing this game for 6 years and I just discovered that there are basically entire new expansions to be found on Modb. Hardly played mods till now (aside from some graphics/texture mods). This one is my favorite. So epic. I highly recommend it. I enjoy it even more than a Clash of King, which is another one I found.
