Any way to assign only certain troop types to a formation?

Hi new player here, question in the title. Let's say I only want my Swordsmen in Formation 1, is there a way to do this with any granularity? I know there's the small icons which allow you to set "preferred types", but is there any way to do it with a bit of precision? Or a mod which allows this? Thanks in advance. Supply Caravans for Army

Make supply caravans a thing. You should be able to delegate your not-so-warrior companions to a supply caravan that deals in food, goes to the nearest friendly/neutral cities, and brings food to your army. Like I don't want to be walking around in an army of 1,000, which has 0 food. But to make it only fair, you can attack them. Enemy lords can blockade your army while it is sieging.
