I hate Horse Archers

Why did I decide to sign up with the northern empire as a Merc whilst they were fighting the Khuzaits? I've never fought them before and the one time I don't go with a decent horse rider because I want to fight on foot, this happens. Game crashes/freezes when I ALT + TAB in my inventory screen

Story's in the title, I don't know what else to say. Restarting doesn't help and there doesn't seem to be anything causing it. I'm playing on version 1.7.0
