Why did I decide to sign up with the northern empire as a Merc whilst they were fighting the Khuzaits? I've never fought them before and the one time I don't go with a decent horse rider because I want to fight on foot, this happens. Okay so I'm new to the game and have a few questions I need help with.

I see that whether you choose to rebuild or destroy the empire you have to either create/support a kingdom or create/support a fraction. I want to know in a general sense what are the two different starting points to creating/supporting either seneriao.

I also am wondering if you choose to support a kingdom/fraction can you later after building up some land/men/money can you leave the supporting kingdom/fraction and keep all that & start your own kingdom/fraction to help Jumpstart?
