I hate Horse Archers

Why did I decide to sign up with the northern empire as a Merc whilst they were fighting the Khuzaits? I've never fought them before and the one time I don't go with a decent horse rider because I want to fight on foot, this happens. Anyone else ever Alt+F4 trying to give orders?

It’s very rare I try to order my Archers to hold fire. But when I do, I’m almost always holding Alt to see where the enemy is when I do it.
