I hate Horse Archers

Why did I decide to sign up with the northern empire as a Merc whilst they were fighting the Khuzaits? I've never fought them before and the one time I don't go with a decent horse rider because I want to fight on foot, this happens. Marrying vassals

Ok, so if I wanted to have my brother marry someone in order to have the spouse join my clan how do I go about it? I can’t tell if I give my companion up when marrying or get the couple into my family
