Is there a mod that changes the formation system to the one from Warband?

In Warband you would allocate troops to formations on your party screen. You could put individual troops in formation 1,2, 3 etc. In bannerlord it feels cumbersome having to do it in the battle deployment screen using the sliders. Is there a way to change this? submitted by /u/FingersToKeyboard [link] [comments]

Viking Conquest Siege Editing

So I’ve played mount and blade Warband for a thousand hours, and Viking Conquest has always been really interesting to me. It has great mechanics and a new balancing of troops to prioritise melee combat over just the same cav armies as in most modifications for M&B. However the thing that I can’t stand, that ruins any playthrough I attempt, is the siege mechanics. Now I understand that perhaps people like more brutal and realistic sieges, but it always…always seems unfair, that somehow when placing the manlets my best men get RNGed to death with no player input whatsoever. (In the Game of Thrones Viking conquest mod I’ve once had wildings killed fifteen unsulied during the Manlet placement) The late game of Viking conquest is unbearable for me, the character opinion decrease of thirty whenever you try to siege is crazy as well, but I understand if that’s just something you like. The point of this post is for a while I’ve been trying to find a way to gut somewhat the issues I ha

Owner culture -3 no matter what?

So I have captured Simira Castle, and have owned it for almost a year in game. The instant I captured the castle I set a Khuzait companion as the governor to offset the negative loyalty from me being the wrong culture. Turns out this entire time it has still been subtracting 3 loyalty every day despite the castle literally having the correct owner. How to get my own castle

So I was wondering if you guys might be able to help me I've been trying the last two days after buying the game to capture my own city or castle. I sort of am specifically looking to get an empire or Vladian settlement, as I like their troops best. The problem is that I can't seem to stop the massive armies from turning up. I have 60ish cataphract/banner knights and another 40 units on the various tiers below them. I can beat armies 2-3 times my size but Douchebert (the Vlandian king) keeps showing up with and army of 500+ which is just too big to take on. I dont really want to be anyone else's vassal. I want my own empire, not to be a knight to another emperor. I couldn't find a way to take over as king of the Vlandians in my other playthrough so I assume thats not possible too? Plus when I'm someone else vassal they end up giving me my first castle in a culture I dont care to build an army out of. Any help is greatly appreciated! Edit: I should also probably

How do I get my brother back?

I am a vassal of Vlandia and my brother was captured in battle by the Aseria, but what happened instead of him going to be a prisoner of the Aserai, is that he is now my prisoner, in my dungeon, and I can't get him out. Basically, the Asrai were besieging the one city that I had and he and some other lords attacked the army besieging the city, they lost, and now I can't get my brother back. Weird Body Glitch (PLEASE HELP!)

So I was just playing some bannerlord (with these mods) and everything is working pretty well... like an hour in I realize that my character looks wrong (I made him with a tall ripped dude) then I went to the character editor area (V) and noticed the body was totally different. I think it also helped that I took out most of their lords myself by baiting them into my infantry line. This was the very first time I've fought the Aserai during this entire campaign. We've declared war on them a few times in the past, but they were simply too far away every time and we eventually sought peace, but this time they had crept up north while fighting other kingdoms and I just happened to have an army on their border when they declared war. Been playing a Native warband campaign for a while and having more fun than bannerlord imo

For me it just feels more polished. It lacks the content and rich lore of say, POP, but native itself is damn near perfect for what it is - a rock solid foundation. Bannerlord still feels unbalanced, clunky, and tedious. I personally cant appreciate the skill trees and focus points. I wish it was as simple as Native without the gimmicky perks. Of all the things bannerlord does better than warband, battles are it - the command system and overall aesthetics of combar are fantastic. I just wish the campaign and RPG elements held up to warband’s, in my opinion. Im hoping the major total conversion mods will come around for bannerlord and i’ll get the game I want. For the time being, im still having fun playing the Calradia ive known and loved since 2010. Submitted September 27, 2023 at 12:50AM by justtrynabrap https://ift.tt/wGCeA0v

How do you make money?

I'm having to stop sieging castles because my daily expenses are at -25,000. So even after defeating massive armies and selling everything I'm immediately out of money again days later. I'm at the max number of workshops. I've unchecked unlimited wages and everytime I look again it's somehow rechecked. Could that be it? It'd be nice to be able to siege a castle and a town without needing to ride back to my territory for money every few days lol submitted by /u/Beginning-Airport982 [link] [comments]

Senatorial Wrath - Bannerlord Calradic Campaign #19

Lore Senator Lucon has been dismissed from leadership. The Imperials who follow the Calradic Senate pride themselves on their adherence to the ancient laws of the Calradic Empire. For many months, they were content to follow the leadership of Lucon so long as he respected the authority of the Senate. Lucon believed that his countless victories in battle against the many enemies of the Senate meant that he was above the very institution he had devoted himself to. The Senate, afraid of Lucon’s repeated usage of his veto power and of his rising popularity, dismissed Lucon from his Generalship and as leader of the Senate in an uncontested vote of no confidence. To the surprise of many, Senator Lucon peacefully retired to his estate without any dispute over his removal from power. The Senate, flabbergasted, quickly raised the prominent general, Vaesor, to replace Lucon as Consul over the Northern Empire. While the Senate no doubt secured a political victory with the deposition of Luco

Why do you choose the kingdom you do?

What makes you guys choose a particular kingdom? I find myself constantly going khuzait because of the full blown mounted archer play style, but I really like the way some of the other warriors from the other kingdoms look, like Vlandian knights for example. I play on console and have been playing a playthrough for some time. Got bored today with and decided to execute 140 lords. Then conquered the map and decided to kill every lord I came across. Which made me wonder what would happen if I managed to capture every lord and execute them. Some changes to the battle field

So I love the game and haven't grown tired after several different play throughs but I have been dreaming about what I would like to see added to the battle fields and solders in the future and I'm interested to hear all of your thoughts as well: Field artillery- I think this could be interesting add to the game. Nothing crazy op but some mangonel, small ballista, maybe a trebuchet. These could be tier 7 troops, the upkeep should be wildly expensive to limit what a army can have, and it should add a massive speed penalty. But I think it could drastically change how battles are fought and could help with the pesky engineering/tactics perks. I'd love to see different categories of Calvary. I know we kind of have this with different kingdom types but I would like to see a true HEAVY calvary. Like Clydesdale style horses. They could be much slower and maneuver like a Zamboni but when they charge lands the damage would be significant. Unit specification- I love the updated

Most of my castle’s prosperity is too high, and they’ve been stuck at 0 food for months, so their garrisons aren’t auto recruiting anymore. Is there a way to fix this? Very late game.

I know the food/prosperity balance is on like a cycle, but it hasn’t corrected in a very long time, i like using my garrisons to recruit noble troops but most of my main castles can’t feed a garrison. I may try just reducing them all to 0 and wait for a bit to see if that helps, then turn unlimited auto recruitment back on. Im in year 1136 and my settlements have never been attacked, so they’re all super prosperous and all of the villages have really high hearth. DLC Factions???

If they were to add more factions to the game (doubt it, but one can dream) what would you like to see? I would personally love to see a faction based on the ancient Indian kingdoms, maybe have elephant cavalry as a tier 6 unit?? Or a Carthage-like faction that is very wealthy, but relies heavily on mercenaries? Idk, what would you like to see? After 850 Days in my first campaign the moment ive waited for finally happened. Battania declared war on my great Sturgian Great Prince Raganvand. So as I create an army and head for the lands of the pagan wood people. Our Castle is being Sieged by an army no weaker than 1.500 man strong. As me and my 280 Soldiers approach the Castle, we manage to sneak in during the Fight. Whats left of both partys at this point is 80 Soldiers in the garrison and 1.200 in the enemy army. Prepare for Battle ! As i run around the walls i try to find the best spot to lock in the Enemy Soldiers with Shieldwalls to kill them with Stones and Archers. As i do so i jump from one of the watch towers onto the wall, slide off fall to the ground and die. I continue to watch the entire siege battle in fast forward not being able to take part in it. we win with 70 Soldiers left. 10/10 would do again. submitted by /u/Borsten-Thorsten [link] [comments]

I love the mod that replaces the Vlandian troops with Swadian ones with stuff from various mods that bring it closer to 13th/14th or early 15th century aesthetic and gear. Makes them a lot harder to kill too. But I can't for the life of me find any mods that do similar things for the other troop trees in the game, so it makes it really weird having Vlandians running around in full plate while everyone else is still wearing stuff from the ~11th century. submitted by /u/Tringamer [link] [comments]

How does the main quest line work atm?

I'm sorry if this is asked a lot, it's really hard to find complete, up to date, clear information on this. I've heard the main quest kind of blows and so I've stopped at the point where I have to talk to Istiana and Azargos and I've probably got around 1300 days left. I thought that limit was just for talking to these two but is the limit for the entire quest line? I thought I'd make the choice whether to do the main quest later when I'm more established. I'm a vassal with 4 fiefs right now and I'm just starting to really get going and I'm not in a rush to conquer the entire continent right now although I might one day. So when is the best time to do the quest? If I'm informed correctly if the quest times out nothing really happens, it's just gone. Thinking of creating a "King's Court" mod

Hi everyone, What do you all think of this mod I conceptualized I call "King's court." Which is basically a Kingdom Management feature. Its would be an add-on to the diplomacy mod and not standalone for Warband. Basically, as a kingdom management feature.. peasants, farmers, citizens, village elders and lords can approach your court like how lord and ladies show up on a feast and make requests of which your decisions can impact the game. Once they show up, they will come to you about an issue or request like a land feud, food shortage, bandits attacking, taxation issues, business opportunities.. anything! So you basically have two choices to make, like HELP or IGNORE. Each decision would yield consequences both tangible and intangible like gold or relations. So a village elder might come to you and say "we need you to send 5 knights to provide some security". If you choose to help, they would repay you with like 3 grains of rice and 10 relations to the tow

Is Warband the GOAT?

I have probably over a hundred games or so on multiple consoles. I could probably even play a different game every day if I wanted to. So why do I always end up going on a binge with warband where it’s the only game I play for like 2 months straight? I discover a few new mods and just alternate between a few saves and stick to them exclusively. Seriously, what gives? Is it just the gameplay loop? The creative worlds that the modding community makes? What is the magic to this silly game? Submitted September 10, 2023 at 11:35PM by PNMTE https://ift.tt/lDCdqOJ

Realms forgotten mod question

I am loving the mod but am stuck on the RF quest line. I am to the point where you have to find map pieces in hideouts. I've looked everywhere in the hideout but can't find anything close to a map piece. I've completed the hideout multiple times but every time it pops up saying something like "you couldn't find the map piece but your at the right location, try again later". Has anyone been able to figure this out?? Thank you! submitted by /u/batterycityking [link] [comments]

What's with this battle field

It's just yellow and greenish . Also I did start a new game and went the trading and smithing route which is rare for me to do since this is the second time I've done it. submitted by /u/Historical_Image3941 [link] [comments]

Uneven troop distribution at start of battle

I’ve just got me into a fight 1200 vs 1500 approx and I’ve loaded in with 175 archers, 20 cav and only 10 infantry. My personal party is roughly 250 top tier archers and 250 top tier infantry. Does anyone know why I’ve been given so little infantry to start with? The main army is overwhelmingly made up of infantry and archers too submitted by /u/Jonomeus [link] [comments]

Any ideas on how to fix/prevent this crash?

https://preview.redd.it/mror37o8dzmb1.png?width=3840&format=png&auto=webp&s=bc0d0bbf2e590ccf2437e02cabf07503663b85ff It only happens when trying to enter the Smithing menu and I know when it'll crash because the moment it goes into the Smithing, everything except the background will be black and then it'll do this. It's not happening every time I go into the Smithy, but it happens regularly enough that I drop a save before clicking on Smithy every single time now. I searched around and found some old threads mentioning to deselect unknown parts to load, but I can't find any information on that anywhere. I've done the normal things like verifying the files and even uninstalled and reinstalled. Nothing helps. Not running any mods or console commands either. submitted by /u/Hunk-Hogan [link] [comments]

Crime and Governors

Okay guys this one is a 2 part question. 1)Should I kill the crime bosses in my city? Are there any repercussions? And 2) how do I find the right culture governor? Is it just luck or is there an easier way? submitted by /u/Coxy_xD [link] [comments]

I'm so tired

I'm so tired of the vlandians declaring war on me every damned week, I'm so tired of the sturgians and their heavy infantry and spears, I'm so tired of the empires and their cataphracts, I'm so tired of the fucken battanians and khuzaits pelting me and my soldiers with arrows, I'm not tired of the aserai since we're on good terms, I'm so tired of being one shot by a stray arrow or javelin, I'm so tired of being surrounded on all sides and constantly being harassed by every fucking kingdom, I'm tired of watching the brave men and women that loyally and bravely fight for me die almost every other day, I'm so tired of having to stop army's from taking my towns and castles, when I look at my character I can see through his helmet and see the absolute depressed look in his eyes, I can see how sad he is each time a soldier of his dies, I can see how much he wants all these wars to end, I can see that he wants to go home back to his brothers and si

Tips for commanding Fights

I am not too bad Tactically, but i only put in the starting formation mostly, because the Commanding my troops feels kind of wonky when playing. Any tips on how to make commanding easier? Tips on tactical formations, etc. are also appreciated. submitted by /u/Borsten-Thorsten [link] [comments]
