What is fast mode?

Finished first playthrough

Finished my first playthrough on warband, little mercenary hamur managed to conquer all of caladria, took about 1865 days. Indicted everyone for treason afterwards and assumed ownership of everything except a few cities that I gave to my companions instead, had a final wealth of 1.46 million denars.
